Now, they're building toward their next chapter.
With Akina earning a World Cup position as the reigning NorAm Cup champion and Mika and Kaiya fighting to return to European competition, the 2026–27 season represents an opportunity to regroup, rebuild, and prepare for the road ahead.
Competing at this level requires extraordinary dedication, and significant financial resources. A full World Cup season abroad can cost $60,000 to $80,000 per athlete.
